Amazon API Gateway
Amazon API Gateway is a fully managed service that makes it easy for developers to create, publish, maintain, monitor, and secure APIs (application programming interface) at any scale. APIs act as the “front door” for applications built on Lambda to access data, business logic, or functionality from your backend services.

Amazon Dynamo DB
Amazon DynamoDB is a key-value and document database that delivers single-digit millisecond performance at any scale. It’s a fully managed, multi-region, multi-active, durable database with built-in security, backup and restore, and in-memory caching for internet-scale applications. DynamoDB can handle more than 10 trillion requests per day and can support peaks of more than 20 million requests per second. It’s ideal for backing IoT type applications built using Lambda.

HeleCloud AWS Serverless Use Case in Financial Services
HeleCloud was tasked to migrate a legacy Identity and Access Management architecture of a large financial company to scalable, secure and rapid AWS native architecture. The analysis of the workloads showed constant load during the day with sporadic peak hours of ultra-high loads, when tens of millions of business users need to be rapidly, securely and robustly logged in or out all kinds of data-sensitive systems.
HeleCloud engineers responded to this challenge, through a state-of-the-art Single Sign On (SSO) solution that employs AWS API Gateway to route log in/out requests to a custom fortified AWS SSO Cognito server extended with business logic for control of access to business resources. The sporadic peak loads were handled by nesting the extended SSO logic in Lambda functions. For optimal performance, the Lambda functions were encoded in Quarkus which as compared to the industry standard Lambda languages, such Javascript, Python or Java, ensures much faster response times and much lower resource consumption. The system is now successfully deployed and up-to-date serves 40+ millions of users.
