Keeping the Mission Critical for Public Sector

| By Mulya van Roon, Cloud Business Development Manager Benelux |

Sandy Carter, VP for Global Public Sector Partners and Programs, shares how AWS helps partners deliver on mission-critical keeping the focus on critical but simple.

Let me share some of the highlights and my key takeaways.

The mission opportunity in the new normal

Mission-based Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is the real opportunity. It is predicted that mission-based ICT spending in local government will reach $203Bn in 2024*.

Public sector is experiencing a shift in budget influence on ICT from the departments responsible for the organisation mission, rather than from IT departments. Government technology spending is becoming increasingly decentralised with departmental agencies influence growing as they own a larger stake of the overall budget.

Repeatable solutions

Repeatable solutions are an opportunity for partners to demonstrate their expertise by creating builds that work in multiple customer situations. Repeatable solutions provide assurance, save time and money through the benefit of collective experience which is attractive to the government. The value for the partner is through replication as delivery becomes more and more efficient and the solution can be optimised continuously.

Digital transformation

As digital transformation links to mission, becoming cloud-enabled is the foundation of digitally transforming to meet that mission. AWS help and support partners to become cloud-enabled by encouraging partners to transform with the AWS Partner Transformation Program, a 100-day digital transformation plan for partners.

As a Premier Consulting Partner HeleCloud are proud delivery partners of this AWS incentive. HeleCloud regularly deliver transformation programs for partners across the world providing a deep discovery, 100-day plan, comprehensive assessment, customised transformation plan and enablement.

Technology simplicity for value-add

AWS Energy Competency is coming soon, helping customers leverage the power of AWS to transform complex business and operational systems whilst accelerating the transition to a more sustainable energy future.

AWS Migration Competency presents a huge opportunity as 80% of workloads are still on-prem. Competencies provide credibility for mission and the mission often starts with migration. The AWS Migration Competency is widely acknowledged as the hardest to achieve as an AWS partner. HeleCloud is delighted to be 1 of the 100+ Partners Worldwide to accomplish this competency.

AWS Outposts Ready Program is unveiled and designed to make it easier for customers to find integrated storage, networking, security and industry-specific solutions that AWS has technically validated on Outpost. The program is designed to help deploy, monitor, secure and integrate Outposts-based workloads.
