HashiCorp Strategy Day – Unlocking the Cloud Operating Model

By Dob Todorov, HeleCloud

I did a presentation on Enterprise Cloud Adoption at the HashiCorp Strategy Day London the other day; we had a wider HeleCloud team as well – our BD and technology evangelism teams were there too. We had 250 technologists and IT executives in the room, and they were all keen to learn about enterprise IT and how businesses can unlock the value of Cloud. Throughout the day we heard from experts in the field, with an emphasis on the need for enterprises to consider how to industrialise the application delivery process across each layer of the Cloud by embracing the Cloud operating model. The ability to network with HashiCorp and its customers at the event proved essential for IT teams that want to understand first-hand how businesses are achieving success in the Cloud.

The day was structured around four keynote sessions, focused on learning how to successfully guide a company through its journey of migration to the Cloud. I hosted a session that addressed how companies are driving HashiCorp adoption in enterprises. The session addressed HeleCloud’s journey from the design through to the implementation of Cloud solutions using HashiCorp products. The key message from my presentation was to reassure businesses that migrating to the Cloud is a journey, not a big bang! Whilst this can sometimes be frustrating, especially for smaller companies, it is crucial to mindful of this when embarking on your journey to the Cloud.

The day ended with an insightful executive panel Q&A with HashiCorp’s Brent Holden and Nico Corrarello. It was great to be a part of the event and I thoroughly enjoyed presenting and meeting as many of you as I did!
